I'm walking an okay Licki right now, and so far have found two that are a bit more okay than it is. For Medi, I leveled one up to 35 (roughly best chance for XLs), and by the time I got enough XL to take one to 50, I found both a rank 1 and a rank 4. Something like Medicham or Lickitung, that takes an awful lot of investment, I'd wait until you find something worth working on. So yeah, if they're relatively cheap to build, like Venusaur (on the assumption you've got his CD move), run what you have until you find better. Most of the time, the "softer" IV's pick themselves up on the mirror, so there's that silver lining. You'll probably lose a match here and there, and pick up one or two. My Skarmory then finishes Stunfisk off.Īrguably (I mean, we argue about it a lot here), you should be fine, technically, using any IV spread that favors bulk over attack. Stunfisk comes back, eats my third hydro cannon and KOs Swampert with earthquake (rock slide is resisted and wouldn't have done enough). I'm then able to overcharge two hydro cannons and knock out Medicham at the cost of shielding an ice punch. Opponent brings back Stunfisk and I immediately bring out Swampert. My opponent has no shields, a 95% Stunfisk and something else. Our status now is that I have a shield, a 50% Skarmory with some energy and a 100% Swampert (which my opponent doesn't know about). It throws two frenzy plants before I farm it down. Venusaur now has tons of energy but it's locked in against its hardest counter, my Skarmory. I then shield the frenzy plant and throw blizzard, which gets the second shield, before Venusaur farms me down. Politoed's mud shot charges crazy fast so I'm able to get to a blizzard but bait with weather ball and get a shield. I immediately switch to Politoed and opponent brings out Venusaur after a couple of fast moves. Opponent leads with Galarian Stunfisk, which is a bad time for Skarmory. I just started a pretty standard ABB line - Skarmory, Swampert and Politoed (all shadows) - and just had a good example game for you.
